IRRIGATION OPERATIONS
The Department of Irrigation Operations is headed by the Director of Irrigation Operations who is responsible for providing strategic oversight and technical leadership in development of large scale commercial irrigation investments.
Agriculture Production
- Planning and managing all production activities by GBI Holdings Limited.
- Management and production plans in effective and profitable manner.
- Providing direction, supervision, coordination and control of all production matters.
- Preparing annual work – plans and budgets for the Agriculture Production.
- Regular monitoring and support visits to project sites.
- Ensuring environmental protection as well as environmental-friendly sustainable agricultural production systems.
- Providing leadership in formulation and documentation of agricultural practices in line with strategic objectives of the company.
- Facilitating farmer mobilization and strengthening the existing community-based structures (cooperatives) and facilitating development of new ones where appropriate.
- Preparing and timely submission of technical reports
