The Deputy Minister of Local Government, Honourable Halima Daud (MP) today, the 29th March 2021 opened sensitisation meetings of the Governance to Enable Service Delivery (GESD) project to Local Authorities in Karonga district.
These sensitisation meetings will be held in the week 29th March to 1st April 2021 in all the 28 Local Authorities.
GESD project is being financed by the World Bank as a grant to the tune of US$100 million
and will run for a period of 5 years.
The objective is to strengthen Local Authorities’ institutional performance, responsiveness to citizens and management of resources for service delivery.
