The Social Cash Transfer Programme (SCTP) “Mtukula Pakomo” is one of the ways in which the government of Malawi is dealing with the adverse effects of poverty and malnutrition among the ultra-poor and labour constrained Households (HHs) This programme intends to advance towards achieving better nutrition, health, education and shelter for the poorest in Malawi.

Social Cash transfer is the anchor programme in the Social Support for Resilient Livelihoods Project (SSRLP). The project development objective is “to improve resilience among the poor and vulnerable population and to strengthen the national platform for safety nets in the Republic of Malawi.”
The Social Cash Transfer Programme (SCTP) is an unconditional cash transfer programme which supports ultra-poor and incapacitated households.
